I have been a customer of namecheap for over fifteen years. All was going pretty well until spammers got access to my email account and sent out spam. I followed their tech support advice and changed my password, ran a virus scan (and provided them proof as requested) and my email was again operable. Fast forward to this happening for a THIRD time. The Legal and Abuse Team did not offer any kind of support when I requested assistance, they treated ME as if I were the offender. My email was my OWN NAME; why would I send out spam in my own name?? In any case, my email, which I have been using for several years, was permanently suspended. I requested a temporary access in order to download important documents and my contact list. Denied! The fact that I had been a loyal customer, paying on time, meant nothing. They looked at me as a spammer and offered absolutely zero assistance in ensuring my email, and my account, would stay in good standing. So much for loyalty. VERY disappointed.
so you kept getting infected with a virus that was spamming from your email account and though you were able to clean it a few times, you were unable to prevent your computer from being repeatedly infected which in turn was spamming out emails to try to infect other computers through namecheaps email servers. What would you propose they do? Keep allowing you to (unknowingly) send out emails packed with a virus that you yourself are already suffering the consequences of, over and over again or do they stop it from happening by suspending the account. As one of the people out here not infected with your virus, I gotta side with them on this one.

What would I have them do? Work. With. Me. I made every attempt to comply, got so many tickets opened and closed it was extremely frustrating. LONG story short...It seemed to me that customer support was protecting the scammers and not me, their long-time client.
As it ended up, it's been resolved after I publicly communicated with someone on their Facebook group. Thank goodness as their website support did nothing. I hope they make changes to their tech support going forward. You'll see other clients dealt with poor tech support if you read earlier reviews.

Offer a basic domain service but ever since I signed up for their service, my phone has been ringing non stop from places all over the country with different numbers offering web design and logos. I wish I never used name cheap!!!!!!!!!!

BAD SERVICE, SUDDENLY CANCEL MY HOSTING + DOMAIN, AND DIDNT REFUND MY MONEY
I buy Stellar Hosting + Domain Package from NameCheap. After using Hosting and Domain for 2 days, suddenly they took out all the access to hosting and domain. They delete my hosting + domain without notice. When I ask them to refund my money, they didnt give my money back. Their service at the moment is really really really unsatisfactory and bad.
