45 minutes waiting to get a very simple problem solved. It's gotten to the point of absurdity. Also, around every 3 months they migrate me to another server as I kept getting long timeouts, server 500 errors (too many connections) and so on. Then they do their best to try to blame everything under the sun on my site, when it is clearly that they are overloading their servers. They used to be really good. It has gotten real bad lately.
Then funny, what a miracle, my EXACT mirror site, with the EXACT database and file by file transferred to the new server they put me on ends up working perfectly for a couple of months. So it's my site? LOL. Same thing, 2-3 months goes by and load times increase, then the deadly 500 errors. Also, they refuse to upgrade their PHP, so constant vulnerabilities an intrusions I have to deal with.
What happened to these guys? They used to be great, and now even the simplest things get excuses and extreme wait times.
Email service has worsened to the point of ridiculous!
This service started out fine no issues. Over the last 6 months our emails are not being delivered. They are consistently in clients spam folders. We reached out to host my site yesterday and were advised to have our clients white list us. Easier said than done. Are we suppose to make a phone call with every email that we send to advise them to look for the email and add us to approved senders? Not a viable solution for us.

HostMysite was great, quick service and little to no downtime, but now they are a joke. I have hosted with this company for over 9 years and over the past few months, I have been getting complaints form staff of emails not being received by our clients or blacklisted. I am also experiencing outages for about 3 hrs once a week for the past few months where exchange is disconnected and cannot login to owa. Repeated talks with support chat does not yield any results and the same issue keeps coming back. I am done with HostMysite and moving to a better hosting. I have already moved my website and next is my email. I have many accounts and alot of data to transfer but it will be worth it.
I've been with this site since 2004. They are now costing me my clients and business. Sudden missing e-mails with long term clients, constant blacklisting my 3rd party database we need for our business, long wait times, off shoring upon request not to do so, can't work with same person, 3rd party database tech cannot reach them directly and the problems continue for a year. When I try to switch to a new person, they tell us there is no way to help us make the transition a smooth one. HostmySite is the worse business experience I've had in 24 years in business.
I hosted my site with HostMySite for over 10 years. We never had any problem or situation. Tech support is always quick and helpful. You can't go wrong with HostMySite.
Service is not what it was. 10 years with them and now unresolved email problems.
We have had sites at hostmysite.com for more than 10 years but recently our email has started to be unreliable. We have had three outages in three weeks. Something has changed. Maybe they will fix it so I don't have to move domains. Migrated from Datapipe.
My wife has her website and email with hostmysite.com. She is a graphic designer and works on an iMac. A couple of month's ago she started getting security errors concerning the server's security certificate when picking up her mail. She would connect anyway and get her mail. The problem continued and started preventing her from getting her mail. She would get messages that there were no messages, but when she logged on to the site she would see many emails. It took several weeks and hours on the phone to resolve the problem. We finally reached someone who resolved the problem and explained that sometimes the mail server will lose client configuration. Before when we had problems we could reach someone on the first call rather than having to play support roulette.
I have email problems with them too. Cost me a bit of work! And they will cut your email service if you go over your limit WITH NO WARNING!!!! They really suck! MINUS 5 stars!!
I've been with HostMySite since 2004. They are absolutely awful now. I having missing e-mails both outbound and inbound involving parties I've e-mailed for years. with no problem and now suddenly a problem. My work-related 3rd party database is constantly blacklisted by them and I cannot perform my work for my clients. I am consistently given to off-shore people to work on things following my legal request not to do so because they are incapable of communicating with me directly. HostMySite has very long hold times exceeding an hour tonight then only to ring and ring then I had to call back and am still on hold. My database tech support tries to reach them and is also put on long holds with refusal to give my database tech support a direct person to reach and work directly with. This has been a horrific experience in terms of business. I think this needs reported further - perhaps the better business burea, maybe attorney generals office, not sure where else but this is the worse experience one can imagine for their livelihood.
They are horrible! I can not believe that you've had zero issues with them! I am paying over $105.00 PER QUARTER with them!! That is outrageous! They really suck and hopefully I will be moving on soon to a more reliable hosting company. Do you know anything about Directing hosting? They look MUCH better!!
