so unreliable it will ruin your business

I've had Brinkster for my email and web services for almost 10 years. Often I find my web site down with no notification. My email goes down for hours sometimes days at a time and CUSTOMER SERVICE is near non existent. If you call the message says "SOMEONE WILL GET BACK TO YOU IN 48 HOURS" When my clients can't contact me, I need to be able to get a hold of someone live in a reasonable amount of time.

I had Brinkster for years and was happy. Then they started charging for more than 1 email. Then they got hacked and my files were compromised. They said my computer had been hacked and to fix MY problem. The files on my machine were good but the ones on Brinkster were not so it was obvious who was at fault. I contacted them again and got a different support person who suggested I delete everything in my folders and start over which wasn't a problem but fact that the first person said it was my fault was not a good sign. Then my site went down and once again they said it was my fault. I told the person I hadn't changed anything and he finally fixed it. Then I was charged something like $3 for an unknown reason and they told me they were now charging for all emails. As soon as my contract is over I'm leaving and am currently looking for another host.
I'd give them less stars but some of their support people are great where others absolutely suck.

They started out good, but over the years, they wanted more and more money and when they started charging for have an email account, I left them.
