Great choice for privacy

Excellent cloud service with lot's of locations, reasonable prices, great privacy features and api, supports native cryptocurrency payments beside the conventional options.

Clean OS images without bloatware, support for installation scripts and other automation tasks. Highly reliable and good performance servers with good latency and no lag.

Great for horizontal scaling

99Stack is a straightforward provider with the simple features accessible though their graphical control panel and more advanced features provided via API. We needed something that could scale horizontally to handle temporary bursts of users for our application. This is where 99Stack comes in handy with multiple regions, and the ability to load a script from anywhere during deployment. Which helped us solve many of the challenges that horizontal scaling usually involves.

Their prices can be a bit high, but on the other hand it's billed on a hourly basis so we never pay for more than we're using anyway. The initial server deployment limit of 10 instances is also a bit low in my opinion. But after opening a ticket it took about 30 minutes for them to respond to let us know our limit was successfully raised to 100 instances.

Taking privacy to the next level

On the surface, 99Stack Cloud looks similar to any other cloud. But there is a key difference, instead of forcing me to upload tons of documents to prove who I am. Hand out my credit card, passport etc I only give them my email address, then I can top up my balance with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or even Monero, and I'm ready to deploy in just a few minutes.

Server performance is pretty average, not too good and not too bad considering the price, the amount of locations is a big plus however. All fundamental features is there like the VPS servers, Dedicated servers, Block storage, IPv4, IPv6 and private networking, SSH Keys, Deployment scripts and more. Their respect for customer privacy is what makes 99Stack the best choice in my opinion tho.

Raw computing power at reasonable price

I was initially just looking for a provider with slightly more features than my old one, such as real IPv6 support and more data centers. Then I came across 99Stack, a self managed cloud with lots of options. I'm not disappointed, the signup process was really simple and fast, and it didn't ask for much personal information, only email name and password basically then I was ready to go.

After login I could view the control panel in full and see all available options, there is 40+ public regions, 80+ operating system images and 80+ different plans to choose between. All organized nicely to avoid confusion. Although to actually deploy anything I needed to deposit some money first to my account balance. Said and done, 99Stack accepts both Paypal, credit/debit card payments and cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero and some more. I guess it's a security feature since they don't know who I am. Great for privacy tho and probably what to expect from a provider that claims to respect your privacy.

Deployment is fast, it usually takes less than a minute to deploy a new server instance. Tho I thought the fun was over when I realized I couldn't deploy more than 10 server instances. However, after a quick support request my limit was raised to 50 servers within a few hours.

While self-support resources are excellent, keep in mind that 99Stack does not offer any support for anything outside their platform. They're great if you have trouble getting started, or if you screw up and can't access your server instance, but if you want help with, say how to install software A on operating system B running on your sever you're on your own.

Reliable and privacy-friendly

We've been using 99Stack for our image hosting site for a couple of months now and it's great in all sorts of ways. For instance, snapshots can easily be used to deploy new servers when we need to scale up to meet a higher demand.

Our costs have been heavily reduced thanks to hourly billing and the fact that we're only paying for what we use. The adoption of cryptocurrencies including the discount we get from paying in crypto instead of fiat makes everything more reliable as we can know for sure that our payments arrive in time.

Lots of locations, lots of plans, lots of operating systems and application images to choose from provides a certain freedom we've never experienced before. Combine that with a great API and you'll get the perfect hosting solution.
